Procurement Associate

Purpose

In this role, you will be working closely with the Senior Group Procurement Manager on all aspects of the procurement life cycle. To support Evelyn Partners on all third-party engagements enhancing commercial and operational value to the business and its clients. Responsible for researching suppliers, analysing spend data and assisting in supplier negotiations with the aim to reduce cost and improve service delivery.

The ideal candidate will have understanding of business operations, supply chain, procurement with the approach to be part of a dynamic procurement team and a can-do attitude to see things through to completion.

Key Responsibilities 

• Evaluate and negotiate small to medium value vendor contracts
• Gather quotes, proposals, and purchase terms and conditions
• Follow through on renewal requests and actively manage upcoming renewals supporting the Senior Group Procurement Manager in negotiations
• Track project progress and prepare recurring weekly/bi-weekly updates
• Interrogate spend data to analyse spend trends and identify opportunities to challenge the status quo while seeking innovate and alternative solutionSupport the Senior Group Procurement Manager in high-value and complex projects
• Undertake administrative tasks ensuring all project stakeholders are up to date on project progress
• Liaise with tenderers and suppliers as needed
• Develop relationships with existing suppliers to reduce costs or provide an enhanced service whilst delivering innovation, sustainability, and benefit to the business
• Work as a Business Partner with key stakeholders across the Group
• Acting as the first point of contact for procurement queries and process playing an integral part in building relationships and providing procurement advise
• Build strong relationships and collaborate with other teams such as Legal, Data Protection and Information Security to address and mitigate third-party risks
• Ensure all contracts meet Group policy, regulatory and industry standards
• Research suppliers of goods and services to keep abreast of industry developments
