Our client, is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join their team as a Procurement Lead Officer. This is a permanent position, offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to contribute to strategic procurement projects in a collaborative and innovative environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking organization that values collaboration, innovation, and inclusivity. The position is offered on a hybrid working arrangement, with two days a week based in Birmingham and the remainder working remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage complex and strategic collaborative and local procurement projects
• Provide strategic advice and implement procurement sourcing strategies
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal customers, key stakeholders, and suppliers
• Actively promote collaborative and innovative working practices
• Manage the procurement portfolio for allocated support areas, focusing on infrastructure and corporate services categories
• Support mobilization post-contract award, leading on contract management processes, supplier relationship management, and ongoing performance management
• Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and financial regulations
• Work with Directorates to develop and maintain current procurement strategies

What you bring:

• Purchasing experience and the ability to develop procurement strategies
• Experience leading tender processes and managing supplier relationships
• Strategic sourcing knowledge and experience
• Knowledge of Public Sector Procurement Regulations
• Ability to influence senior management
• Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply at MCIPS level (Desirable but not essential)
