We are seeking a Procurement Assistant to join our team and provide essential support to our Procurement Department. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of the purchase to pay process and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position. The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment, managing procurement requirements and inventory control.
Day to day of the role:- Assist the department with procurement requirements using the SAP purchasing system.
- Manage and control stock inventory effectively.
- Expedite Purchase Requisitions against the approved vendor database.
- Maintain the SAP pricing data system accurately.
- Provide cover for the Inventory & Stores Coordinator during annual leave and sickness.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a procurement role.
- Good understanding of the purchase to pay process.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Educated to A level or equivalent.
- Willingness to work towards achieving a Diploma (Level 4) in CIPS.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Counterbalance and reach truck license is desirable (or be willing to obtain).
