Our client is a market leading supplier of travel, leisure and entertainment products for groups and individuals across the UK and Europe and are currently searching for a Product & Contracting Manager to join their team within this very fast paced environment.The Job:As a Product & Contracting Manager you will be reporting to the Commercial Director and will be responsible predominantly for contracting food and beverage outlets from high end eateries to high street restaurants and local pubs alongside attractions, venues and entertainment in Scotland and the North of England to fulfil their clients demands. Your responsibilities will include:To ensure existing and new supplier relationships are built and maintained to maximise all commercial opportunities. You will ensure all supplier contracts are renewed on an annual basis ensuring the best deals are had and costs will not change during the year. To attend supplier site visits, trade events and their clients trips You will be responsible for sourcing new venues and be proactive in proposing new products appropriate to the various sales channels. To liaise with all internal departments keeping them up to date with price changes and new suppliers. Constantly challenging yourself to increase product knowledge and identifying potential suppliers to support our product offering. The Person:To be successful in this role, you should have:Experience of the travel industry is preferred and in particular from a purchasing role within the UK inbound market. Strong commercial acumen and the ability to close the sale is essential. You will be adaptable, reliable and flexible with the ability to meet deadlines and work on your own. You should be able to build strong business relationships with the ability to negotiate and secure future business. You will have a high attention to detail, with the capabilities of handling multiple projects at once, with strong written and verbal communication skills. It is essential you are a driver with your own car and a clean driving license.
