Product Manager (12 Month contract) job in Christchurch

You’re experienced in the product industry, looking to develop and gain some further experience on a contract basis. You have a passion for product and working on long range products. You love creating innovative new ranges and want to get some further exposure working within the FMCG industry.

What you’ll be doing as Product Manager:

• Lead all divisional product development overseen by the Head of Product
• Develop a forward-thinking product development strategy for one of their biggest strategic customers: Consider the detail and final range proposition
• Responsible for the critical path end to end across all parties
• To work smart, leverage teams to maximise development, MOQ’s and Cost
• Lead clear briefs and communicate efficiently to our buying teams
• Ability to understand the technical make up of a product from a formulation point of view.
• UK & EU supplier facing and Asia buying team
• Identify and map out key opportunities that are quick wins and future sited.
• Manage the product development from Concept stage to finished goods.
• Sustainability front of mind in all development in line with retailer targets
• Manage product Category plans for the financial year with quarterly reviews
• Due to long range windows candidate must have the ability to future fit category development up to 18 months

Dovetail Recruitment are looking for a Product Manager to join our client of 10 years. You will be part of a creative and strong team within a company who are people and planet focused. They work with some of the biggest retailers in the UK and have strong links with factories across the world, giving you great exposure for this contract.

Minimum Requirements for the Product Manager:

• Formulated development experience in personal care or household products
• Project management experience across multiple SKU’s and categories
• Strong supplier relationship management and a commercial mindset
• Trade show experience and supplier visit experience
• Experience in cost management negotiating cost price and MOQ’s

Salary & Details:

• £35,000 - £38,000 per annum with salary reviews
• 25 days holiday per annum, increasing to 27 days after 3 years’ service and 30 days after 5 years’ service
