Our website The Sun is more than a newspaper. It is an instigator, an entertainer, a cultural reference point, a finger on the pulse, and a daily relationship. The Sun product team owns several digital products across the brand, including; Sun Savers, Sun Web and Mobile Apps, and the Sun digital newspaper.
Your role: Working in the Sun product team, you will be responsible for our Membership products, in the discovery and implementation of new and existing revenue streams that support the business strategy. You will work across a number of existing products, expanding our subscriber and registration reach. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to implement features and improvements that are in line with the overall business and product strategies, using data at the heart of your decisions and test and learn as your methodology.
Day to day you will:
End to end management of products in line with business missions and product strategy
Manage a roadmap across your area, providing options to stakeholder groups in order to gain approval
Prioritise requests to achieve the greatest business value, with efficiency of time
Build and own stakeholder relationships across all levels
Closely work with the Business Analysts to ensure they have an understanding of requirements at an early stage
Review and present progress towards core KPIs and targets so that stakeholders are aware of the impact we are making in this stream.
What we’re looking for from you:
Relevant experience in a portfolio/product management role
Good degree of technical acumen
Able to deliver to tight timescales, to innovate and 'think outside the box' to deliver products and solutions that meet customers stated requirements
Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills
Critical thinker who can analyse and present data that shows the progress we are making.
