Job description

Future is the name behind market-leading brands and some of the world’s most popular titles. We connect people to their passions through the high-quality content we create and the innovative technology we pioneer.

What you'll be doing…

As Product Marketing Manager for Editorial you’ll ensure we define our Ideal Customer Profile for each of Future's Hero Brands and completely understand the needs of our customers so we can best deliver sustainable growth in each vertical that we elect to compete in.

You'll be assessing who our Ideal Customer Profile is in each vertical, and how our Hero Brands are set-up to compete and win. You'll support our vertical Managing Directors and editorial leads in ensuring we have the right positioning, messaging, tools and data points at a strategic and tactical level. You'll also provide customer centred insights to drive more effective decisions around developing our brands as distinctive propositions in their market segments, and work with Audience, Ecommerce and commercial partners to develop and progress key initiatives that will drive step change in performance

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve…

  • Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and experience in extracting insights from data to tell cohesive stories.
  • An understanding that talking to customers is the best way to understand the challenges they face.
  • Prior experience of taking innovative new media products and features to market.
  • Proven digital media experience with a working knowledge of best practices in search engine optimisation, ecommerce and digital advertising.
  • Having developed innovative messaging, positioning and value proposition frameworks for complex problems and new products.
  • Being adept at market research (including running qualitative and quantitative studies) and can demonstrate influencing business and product strategy as a result of that research.
  • Experience engaging with editorial, product and engineering teams to solve customers' problems.
  • A background in cross-functional work with disparate areas of the business.
  • Experience of competitor analysis and bringing that together with customer insights.
  • Experience in developing metrics and KPIs.
  • Experience in strategic road-mapping to build out solid strategic customer roadmaps to explain where brand propositions need to go over time and what it would take to get there (at a high level).

What's in it for you…

We have a number of awesome perks available to our staff. We offer huge opportunities to learn and develop, whether through professional qualifications, exposure to incredible business projects or informal lunch & learns, hosted by your colleagues. We have a fantastic culture where we really do care about our people and want everyone to succeed. Varied roles mean you’re not pigeonholed in to one finite area but get the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills and experience

And to top it all off, not only do we offer unlimited holiday because we trust you to manage your workload and time but we also offer a share in our success whereby every colleague is eligible to join our profit pool bonus scheme - if Future hits their performance targets all colleagues may receive a bonus.

* Internal job family level E4.

The expected range for this role is £33,000 - £60,000.

This is a Hybrid role from our London Office, working three days from the office, two from home.

Who are we…

We’re Future. We’re 3000+ colleagues over 250+ brands speaking to 400 million people every month across the globe through websites, events and magazines. We’ve got ambitious plans that build on our growth momentum and unlock new opportunities and we’re looking for talented people who want to be a part of it.
