About this Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Product Owner to join the Risk Foundations Platform, leading the Climate Risk Lab. The Climate Risk Lab is a cross-functional team, who are bringing to bear groundbreaking technology to deliver insights that ensure the impacts of climate change on our customers and their financial resilience is understood and managed effectively.
Partnering with the Lab Engineering Lead, the Lab Product Owner will own the product vision and strategy, ensuring that - through continuous shaping and prioritisation of the product backlog - that the Lab teams are maximising the customer and business value that they deliver.

What you’ll be doing:
The Product Owner has ownership of a single, sophisticated backlog containing different features, journeys and technology components.
This role strives to provide value to customers and collaborators by ensuring delivery teams focus on addressing the right issues. This involves encouraging collaboration and empowering teams to own outcomes, encourage innovation, and minimise risk through data-driven testing and learning.
Role Responsibilities
  • Supports development of OKRs and provides product performance and benefit realisation data.
  • Inputs into business 4YOP, customer plan and tech roadmap as required.
  • Defines and prioritises epics, features and stories which support Product strategy.
  • Crafts the Product Vision & owns the Product roadmap.
  • Ensures change compliance for the overall Product.
  • Accountable for supervising product change governance (e.g., CMIA / SPFIA activities) and business readiness activities (e.g., training and comms).
  • Builds & leads capable teams that deliver quality improvements to the products that supports delivery of OKRs.
  • Works collaboratively with other Product Owners and Integrators to manage dependencies.

What you'll need
Product Ownership - Accountable for platform backlog through leading cross functional teams to deliver simple and sophisticated changes. Ensures quality performance and innovation to deliver successful products. Demonstrates an excellent level of proven experience.
Stakeholder Management - Manages internal and external stakeholder expectations and business sponsorship, quickly establishing credibility and encouraging trust and ongoing collaboration. Anticipates and mitigates conflict and shapes stakeholder views to gain long-term dedication to current and potential future change.
Customer Centricity - Promotes value of customer outcomes with team and peers and ensures work efforts achieve these. Anticipates customer’s needs and uses customer input and steer to present targeted, coordinated, and outcome-focused solutions and opportunities.
Leadership & Culture - Uses situational judgement and experience to advise on a broad range of cultural topics (e.g., ethical leadership and accountability), using strategies such as deep listening to ensure the colleagues of the Bank are engaged. Understands the importance of change management in this space and works with the appropriate function to facilitate this.
Desirable
  • Experience of using agile tooling e.g. JIRA & Confluence, and experience of leading & working as part of an agile team within an Enterprise Risk Function
  • Experience of Climate Risk Management
