The role
As a Product Specialist, you will plan and prioritise sales activities that drive customer engagement and the progression of the pipeline. You will manage and develop the defined territory, analyse market intelligence, sales, and marketing data, and build a comprehensive understanding of our client’s product portfolio and related policies and objectives.
Other responsibilities include:
- Achieving objectives and KPIs as agreed with the National Sales Manager
- Identifying, developing, and providing an excellent service to all customers
- Providing high-quality training, service, and therapy knowledge
- Prospecting new opportunities
- Maximising efficiency and productivity
- Providing critical information and market intelligence
- Monitoring sales metrics and support demand management
- Gathering all relevant competitor information
The requirements
You will have at least 18 months of medical sales experience, with an excellent demonstrable sales track record, as well as…
- Degree educated in a relevant subject
- Account management experience
- Experience in selling at consultant and senior decision-maker level
- Working knowledge of procurement channels and NHS OM
- Product knowledge, therapy knowledge and patient pathway improvement knowledge
- Local knowledge of procurement partners
- Microsoft software knowledge
- A network of contacts to support your growth in the hospitals you cover
- Strategic mindset and action-orientated
- Results-driven, persuasive, and resilient
- Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
- Naturally curious, mindful, and exhibiting a strong EQ
- Comfortable working at pace and injecting pace in others
