Job title: Production Leader- Manufacturing

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

Salary: £32,000- £42,000

Location: North London

Role Overview:

As the Production Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing one of our workshop sites, managing manufacturing teams, and collaborating with other Production Leaders to achieve seamless operations. Your primary goal is to optimize team activities, ensuring the timely delivery of products with a focus on quality and efficiency. Reporting to the Senior Production Manager, you will drive continuous improvement through LEAN methodology and uphold the companies’ values.

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead, manage, motivate, and develop direct reports and their teams for efficient production.
• Ensure products and services are produced on time, in full, and at the right cost with a focus on quality.
• Resolve issues, meet deadlines, and implement finite scheduling.
• Conduct quality control checks at each stage of the production process.
• Drive continuous improvement through LEAN methodologies.
• Ensure adherence to Health and Safety guidelines.
• Provide root cause analysis and implement corrective action plans.
• Produce weekly progress reports for the Senior Production Manager.
• Manage performance reviews, recruitment, and team training.
• Maintain and update production procedures and checklists.

Knowledge and Experience (Essential):

• 5 years of management/supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrable experience leading teams and achieving production targets.
• Strong understanding and application of LEAN methodology.
• Appreciation of quality processes aligning with production targets.
• Experience in process improvement implementation and scheduling.
• Ability to interpret CAD outputs and drawings.

Knowledge and Experience (Desirable):

• Experience with MRP/ERP systems.

Qualifications (Desirable):

• University degree or equivalent in management, leadership, or engineering.
