Reporting to: Engineering Manager
Remuneration: £36K - £39K per annum + key staff bonus
Normal Working hours: 37hrs / week
Monday-Thursday 08:00-16:30 (half hour lunch)
Fri 08:00-13:00
- Holiday 5 weeks + bank holidays + long service extra days

Job Role:
The role of the Production Engineer within Note Windsor is a multi-faceted position
demanding a range of both practical hands-on skills and office-based functions. The role is
within a production environment, producing printed circuit board assemblies and is suited to
candidates who have the relevant hands-on experience in supporting a PCB assembly facility.
This is not a design engineering role or service engineering.
Key to the role is possessing the manufacturing and process engineering skills to support and
maintain SMT machines, conventional PCB assembly, through to final assembly box build with
a can-do attitude.
A proven track record of using customer supplied Gerber, BOM, and CAD data to generate
production machine programs is essential, producing shop floor work instructions is also
considered key to this role.
Main Responsibilities but not limited to: -
- Converting customer supplied data into programs for production machinery.
- Competency with Computer Aided Manufacturing packages for printed circuit board
- Knowledge of Printed Circuit Boards and components.
- Respond to breakdowns and perform maintenance tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and logical approach to breakdowns.
- Experience working with SMT machines (Siemens desirable but not essential).
- Ability to produce high quality and accurate work instructions.
- Knowledge of MS Office suite, Drawing packages, Gerber data.
- Experience of stencil design and ordering.
- Familiar with ERP systems and BOM’s.
- Knowledge of oven profiles and screen-printing process.
- Liaise and communicate with other departments, managers, and customers.
- Ability to plan and manage capital projects.

- Producing operator assembly guides, production aids and jigs.
- Confidence to deliver results independently and as part of a team.
- Ensure product and process quality meets the required specification.
- Support installation of machinery and equipment
- Contribute to CI, NPI and DFM activities / Perform root cause analysis and resolve
