Production Operator

Labour 24/7 are an employment business acting on behalf of our Hindley Green based client who due to increased workload can offer long term employment with the potential of permanent.

Our client is a leading manufacturer of Construction products including, sealants, resins, waterproofing and fireproofing goods.

Main duties of the role will be to oversee the process of the manufacture of goods.

This will include weighing powders and solutions ready to be mixed for products.

Loading materials into machines ready for the manufacturing process. Pouring the materials into hoppers. Manual handling involved in this process. Lifting up to 25kg will be involved.

Packing and palletising goods and shrink wrapping ready for despatch.

Please note: Some departments can be dusty due to powders used in certain mixes however the correct PPE will be provided in these areas for your safety.

Cleaning down work areas and machinery.

Completing work sheets for quality checking and to document amounts produced on a daily basis.

This is a target driven role with achievable targets when you have been fully trained.

Our client are requiring operatives who are willing to learn and pay attention to details.

If you have an FLT Counterbalance licence this will be advantageous but not a mandatory requirement. You will be assisting moving pallets of goods in the warehouse if you do have an FLT Counterbalance

FULL PPE provided for this position, Safety Boots, Overalls, Gloves, Dust masks, Safety Glasses.

Current hours of work are Monday-Friday 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm rotating shifts.

Excellent rates of pay

Shift allowance on the rotating shift.

Quarterly bonus when targets are achieved.

X1.33 After 38 hours. X1.5 After 40 hours and Saturday for the 1st 6 hours worked. Then goes X2 after this.

This position may lead to permanent when you have completed satisfactory probationary period.
