Job Title: Production Team Leader
Location: Sandwich, Kent
Salary: £33,000
Hours: 4 on 6am-6pm / 4 off / 4 on 6pm-6am / 4 off

Role Summary:
To provide shift leadership to a team of employees, motivate team members and assess individual performances. Provide help to management, including hiring and training, sickness and attendance monitoring.

Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:
- Communicate company goals, safe working practices, company procedures and deadlines to ensure collaborative working within the Production Team.
- Provide encouragement to team members, including communicating team goals and identifying areas for new training or skill checks.
- Support the management team with hiring, team performance and the monitoring of sickness and absence.
- Support the Production Supervisor and supply relevant information when required.
- Be the first point of contact for Operative, support with any questions and trouble shooting.
- Oversee team members work for quality guideline compliance, ensure they meet company and customer requirements.
- Develop strategies to promote team members adherence to company regulations and performance goals.
- Conduct team meetings to update the team on best practices and expectations.
- Generate and share comprehensive and detailed reports about team performance, mission related objectives, and deadlines.
- Ensure company brand materials and physical working spaces meet and exceed company presentation standards.
- Cover other Team Leaders when required.
Experience and skills required for this position:
- Previous experience in a leadership role
- Previous experience within a manufacturing / factory environment
- Effective Communication Skills
- The ability to motivate a team
- Results-Orientated
- Self-Motivated
- The ability to build relationships
- Knowledge of 5s
- Working knowledge of Excel
- Valid Forklift licence preferred, not essential
