Description of Department:
The post holder’s duties are to manage the programme delivery administration ensuring a high level of customer service. The post holder will be involved in the pre and post course management of the learner experience. This includes liaising with trainers, clients re training venues, quality assuring joining instructions, managing the booking of specialist speakers, oversight of Moodle administration, managing the co-ordination of assignments and portfolios, analysing feedback, assisting with marketing of courses at conferences. The postholder will deliver some training including CPD as required.
The Economic and Cyber Crime Academy plays a pivotal role in the fight against economic crime. As the national policing lead for fraud and cyber, the City of London Police is the centre of excellence for training law enforcement and the wider counter fraud community.
Since 2012, the Academy has provided training for national and international public and private sector organisations and individuals – all of whom have benefitted from the unparalleled experience of learning up-to-the-minute counter-fraud techniques from a qualified training team of specialist investigators.
We provide training to public, private and third sector organisations as well as other police forces in a comprehensive range of topics and across the spectrum from foundation level to industry experts.
All roles within the Economic and Cyber Crime Academy (ECCA) support the building of capacity and capability to counter fraud; through the development and delivery of educational services for policing, law enforcement and the wider counter fraud community from both the public and private sector.
This involves the delivery of both core and bespoke courses; delivery of Key Performance Area measures; income generation to cover the costs of the training provided; delivery of the programmes objectives specific to the wider counter fraud community; and working with partner agencies including the College of Policing and the National Crime Agency Proceeds of Crime Centre.
The application and interview will be tested under Level 2 of the College of Policing Competency and Values Framework.
This role is open to all Police Staff / external candidates who meet the essential criteria of the person spec, regardless of current grade.
