Your next role
You are an experienced, passionate and innovative professional with a background within project management who will take a lead across the borough in ensuring the Council’s statutory duties are met in the delivery of the new Early Years and Childcare Entitlements.
You will provide appropriate Programme Manager leadership on key strategic and complex projects to support Council teams to understand programme management and associated risks. You will have demonstratable experience of managing budgets, schedules and delivering desired outputs within identified timeframes and to budget. You will take a lead on project reporting and quality management to support the wider team and inform the work they do.
This is an exciting time to join the service as we work towards rolling out the new Government Early Years and Childcare policies announced during the Spring Budget. This is a fixed term role in line with the timeframe of the delivery of the new entitlements.
Your knowledge of policy, risk management, strategy development and change management makes you our ideal candidate. So too is your commitment to meeting the early education and Childcare needs of all children and families in Swindon.
No two days are the same in this key leadership role which will put you at the forefront of comprehensive project delivery with the opportunity to shape the way early education and Childcare places are delivered in Swindon.
You will provide Programme Manager leadership to the team to ensure the Council’s sufficiency and sustainability duties are met now and into the future, as Swindon continues to grow as a town.
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).
