Project Accountant – Hospitality Group (2 to 3 months FTC role) – Immediate Start!

Role:                     Project Accountant (2 to 3 months FTC role)

Location:              London (Office based)

Salary:                  £200 to £250 day rate

Reporting to        Director of Finance

An exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller / Management Accountant to join the team in a busy and diverse role during a time of exciting changes.

This is a short-term full-time role, office-based role in Central London (flexible timings).

The ideal candidate will come from a Hospitality, Retail, or Leisure background.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the Finance system, XERO, covering all daily processes and controls.
• Oversee the purchase ledger functions, supported by a transactional Assistant.
• Operate the sales ledger functions, associated systems and bank reconciliations.
• Liaise with customers and suppliers as necessary.
• Regular bank reconciliations and associated transactions.
• Cashflow update, planning and bank account maintenance.
• Support the stock-take, stock control and stock transaction functions ensuring effective controls.
• Work closely with SMA and FD to ensure EPOS controls, coding, reconciliations, and reporting structures are correct.
• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.
• Produce weekly FLASH (KPIs) report.
• Draft forecasts and variance analysis, and review with FD.
• Support the development of Management Accounts processes to improve timely delivery, accuracy and forecasting ability.
• Support the Director of Business Finance as necessary.

The successful candidate

• Advanced Excel knowledge with exposure to Pivot Tables and Complex Formulas.
• Experience in producing monthly Management Accounts.
• Ability to work at a fast pace.
• Strong communication & relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of XERO is essential.
