A chance to get involved with Canterbury City Council’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund project as its Project Administrator.
We have a fantastic job opportunity for an experienced administrator to join us in delivering the UKSPF project to Canterbury. This role is initially fixed-term for one year, on a part-time basis (20 hours per week).

About this Project Administrator job opportunity:
- You’ll be supporting the administrative processes for the Pride in Place UKSPF Projects, including oversight of financial processes and maintenance of accurate administration records.
- You will provide support when needed to grant and project enquiries and complaints.
- You will be ensuring consistency of record keeping across the service, including ensuring all projects are following standard administration and finance process.
- You will put out digital communications using MailChimp and social media platforms to publicise Pride in Place projects to applicants and the wider public.
- You’ll be managing finance functions such as raising purchase orders, preparing invoices for payment, and supporting project procurement in line with local authority and UKSPF guidelines.
Working pattern:
- Flexible, hybrid working arrangements.
- 20 hours per week, on weekdays (excluding bank holidays)
- Initially a 1 year fixed-term contract.
About you, the ideal Project Administrator for the job:
Your knowledge:
- knowledge of the cultural, leisure or voluntary sectors particularly in relation administration processes for operating projects.
- knowledge of commercial administration and financial management.
Your skills:
- Communicates clearly and effectively with a wide range of customers in writing and verbally on a range of topics
- Organise and prioritise a flexible workload
- Excellent administration skills
Your experience:
- Working in administration in a commercial environment or local authority administration
- Demonstrable experience for providing effective customer service
Your qualifications:
- GCSEs including English and Maths or equivalent.
