Project Engineer

Reporting to the Project Manager, we are looking for an upstanding, positive, and motivated person who has experience in water networks, quality standards associated with supply and wastewater treatment. A person who can question conventional thinking and see the bigger picture. Knowledge of mechanical and electrical design is advantageous.

What you'll do

• Work through all project phases under NEC3 Engineering and Construction contract, from mandate to handover.
• Provide engineering technical expertise, propose design changes and make best for project recommendations.
• Design reviews.
• Analyse data and develop strategies.
• Analyse project briefs and develop full packages of works in accordance with client specifications.
• Interface between client, Tier 1 contractors, and manage Tier 2 contractors to deliver packages of work.
• Design, manage and oversee works. Create packages for operational teams to follow and undertake.
• Attend meetings on various UK sites when required.
• Produce quality documentation and safe working procedures in line with nuclear site standards – RAMS, Activity Plans, Quality Inspection Records and Inspection Test Plans, Lift Plans, etc.
• Development of strategies and business cases.
• Schedule and prioritise projects. Report weekly and monthly on key milestones in accordance with KPIs.

What you'll need

To be successful, you'll need:

• to have been educated to a relevant engineering degree level
• experience working in the Water Utility Industry or Cross Comparable Construction Industries
• demonstrable experience in working independently and analysing large volumes of information (drawings, data, specifications)
• experience in building good working relationships with a variety of stakeholders
• experience working to Construction Design Management Regulations 2015
• IOSH/NEBOSH desirable.

A full UK driving licence is required for this role.
