HEATING PROJECT MANAGER
Senior Project Manager, M & E, Level 7
To manage the Planned Response section of the major Heating contract and manage/co-ordinate the regions response heating inspectorate team. Also to assist the Level 7 M & E in the strategic delivery of an effective regional based heating programme.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Response Heating Delivery
- To ensure the response heating service is delivered in accordance with the NIHE's policies and procedures and develops these further on an on- going basis to ensure that legislation and best practice are met.
- Agree the annual, monthly and weekly programmes including budgets with the Senior Project Manager, M & E, Level 7. Oversee the administration of these Programmes in conjunction with Staff/Contractor and report on progress.
- Update and maintain lists of contractor's staff and operatives including qualifications, etc. in line with current requirements for the various roles and responsibilities including all required qualifications for the various types of heating included in the contract on a regular basis.
- To co-ordinate and manage the NIHE's Heating contractors ensuring high performance and excellent value for money are achieved at all times.
- To authorise works instructions within designated approval levels ensuring correct cost centre allocation, priority and appropriateness of works description, including the approval of variations in time and cost where necessary. Authorise invoices for payment.
Performance Management and Reporting
- To be responsible for designated budgets and provide accurate forecasts of expenditure.
- To ensure planned heating response maintenance performance and quality is maintained to a high level and that all targets and key performance indicators are achieved.
- Collate and prepare management information as required for statutory returns.
- To collate and report monthly performance monitoring statistics detailing performance, quality and cost data and other information as required by the Assistant Director of Asset Management - Programme Delivery.
- To produce, record and monitor performance reports to ensure Key performance Indicators are achieved.
- Provide monthly reports on the progress of the programme against time and budget.
Essential Qualification Criteria:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Mechanical and Electrical discipline plus at least 2 years' relevant post qualification experience.
BTEC Higher Cert/Diploma or equivalent in a relevant Mechanical and Electrical discipline plus at least 3 years' relevant post qualification experience.
