Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 dependent upon experience

Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time

Security Level: CTC

The Role

 

The primary purpose of this role is to support colleagues by providing planning, project management, administrative support, preparation of business or technical documentation and other tasks to support the delivery and governance of the CAA rulemaking and policy development programme.

 

Accountabilities include:

 

  • Responsible for project management and/or project delivery of assigned rulemaking functions
  • Responsible for ensuring suitable governance of projects including stakeholder liaison, planning, meeting scheduling, project control, risk management, reporting and lessons learnt
  • Responsible for delivering tasks and maintaining documentation in compliance with Quality Management System and ISO 9001 standard
  • Responsible for the communication of rulemaking activities to multiple stakeholders
  • Responsible for analysing data to support improvement of efficiency, productivity and the overall governance of the rulemaking programme
  • Support the production of management reports for governance meetings, utilising the reporting functions of a variety of databases/IT packages
  • Provide coaching and training to colleagues as required, as well as helping to lead colleagues through the complexities of the rulemaking process
  • High levels of stakeholder liaison both within the CAA and with Government colleagues, other regulators and external organisations

 

About You

 

Aviation experience is desirable or a background in a technically orientated industry. A university degree and/or substantial experience in project management is essential. Familiar with the application of project management methodology, tools and techniques. Project/Programme management accreditation is desirable. An excellent communicator, both written and verbal as you will be interacting with a variety of people at all levels. Highly organised and methodical in your approach to work with a keen eye for detail as this role is high profile and high priority.  Capable of working autonomously and using own initiative. Able to manage multiple tasks. You will also be confident working with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel in order to maximise the technology available to deliver tasks.

 

Additional Information

 

For many appointments within the CAA, these roles require access to operationally sensitive infrastructure and/or Nationally Protected information. For these roles the post holders must undergo National Security Vetting and achieve the appropriate level of clearance.

 

To be vetted we will usually expect a reasonable period of residency in the UK so that meaningful checks can be undertaken. For this role this will need to be 3 years.
