Project Manager (Steel Fabrication Industry)
I’m delighted to be recruiting for my Leeds based Client for an experienced Project Manager who has experience within the Steel Fabrication industry and who is CAD proficient.
This is a new position within the business and you will be joining a highly successful organisation who have been established for over 35 years.
My Client is renowned within their industry field in the design and delivery of bespoke projects with excellence and precision.
The successful Candidate will be experienced in in orchestrating diverse portfolio assignments ensuring that each project is managed efficiently from start to finish.
Duties
- Conducting site surveys ensuring that the equipment design is both fit for purpose and indeed the finished product is suitable for the location and installation
- You will coordinate Contractors such as Electrical/Gas Engineers to ensure a smooth and timely installation of the products
- Using CAD and Solidworks you will design the Customers requirements
- Conduct a comprehensive management of the project cycle, including design, planning of the workforce, installation, monitoring, and closure
- Ensure clear communication at all times with the production and technical teams, suppliers contractors and customers to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Budget management, ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints
- Risk Assessment, identifying potential issues and implementing proactive solutions working closely with the Health and Safety Manager
- Quality assurance, upholding the highest standards of workmanship and safety.
Candidate Requirements
- Must have a strong Project Management history within the steel fabrication industry
- Proven track record of managing complex projects
- Impeccable organisational skills
- Keen eye for detail
- Ability to lead and motivate Colleagues
- This is a Client facing position so you must posses excellent customer and communication skills
- You will need to be technically astute and able to build long lasting professional relationships with clients.
- Must have CAD and/or SolidWorks experience
- Regional travel will be involved
Hours of Work
The core hours of work are Monday to Friday 0800 – 1630 however due to the nature of the role flexibility is paramount
Salary
Up to £50,000 based upon experience
