Key to delivering this agenda is our portfolio of strategic projects which will help transform the organisation and enhance our offer to students, staff and the wider community. These projects represent major investments by the University and are typically large scale and highly complex, involving multiple stakeholders and interdependencies across the institution.
About the role:
- As a Project Manager, under the direction of a Senior Project Manager (Programme Manager), you will be responsible for ensuring both smaller standalone projects and those which are part of a wider programme of change are well managed throughout the lifecycle from inception to closure.
- The postholder will implement project structures and coordinate project workstream meetings, workshops and boards to ensure that projects progress at pace in an environment of robust governance.
- Additionally, you will maintain strong stakeholder engagement across the University working collaboratively to ensure the delivery of projects, acting as a key management point of contact.
This post is a full-time (37 hours per week) position on a two-year fixed term contract, offering flexible, hybrid working options.
About you:
The postholder should have:
- Experience of managing the delivery of complex projects which involve coordinating with stakeholders across an organisation.
- Demonstrable knowledge of project management methodologies and best practice including critical elements of planning, delivery and closure.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with the ability to influence and develop relationships and networks to deliver key strategic aims and objectives.
