The work you will be involved in includes a multi-million-pound work programme commissioned by the Department of Health and Social Care as well as a number of other research, information, consultancy and policy projects delivered on behalf of Governments Departments, grant giving organisations, universities and national bodies.
As project coordinator you will have a key role in supporting the smooth running and delivery of those projects. Working closely with colleagues to provide project and business support across teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget, meeting the overarching objective of transforming social care and improving outcomes for people who draw on care and support.
We are seeking candidates with experience of supporting project and / or programme delivery, this may be within the not for profit or statutory sector or from further afield. Knowledge of social care would be desirable but not essential, more important is an affiliation with SCIE’s vision and values and a passion for improving outcomes for people who draw on care and support services and carers.
Ideal candidates will enjoy working with a wide range of people, across different teams both within and outside of the organisation at all levels of seniority. You will be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of project delivery processes, including managing budgets, tracking progress against agreed timelines and delivery milestones as well as identifying and escalating risks.
Strong written and verbal communications skills are essential. You will also thrive in a role that enables you to take on new challenges and to manage a busy and varied workload. You will enjoy working across a portfolio of projects and activities, with the ability to prioritise and manage your time effectively. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are essential.
