Property Management Accounts Assistant – Up to £35k – London/ Hybrid
A growing Property Asset Management business in London is looking to expand their team with a Property Management Accounts assistant. This is a London based position that offers flexible working from home. The successful candidate will ideally have an understanding of accounting functions within a real estate environment but this isn’t essential.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly and year‐end financial statements/reporting packages
- Perform a wide variety of accounting analyses
- Assist with analysing various transactions and identify appropriate accounting treatment
- Assist with preparing journal entries and maintain the general ledger
- Assist with reconciling monthly bank statements to the general ledger
- Record and process accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Process cash receipts and prepare bank deposits
- Assist with preparing common area maintenance and real estate tax reconciliations
- Monitor daily cash balances
- Assist with preparation of annual operating budgets
- Assist management with special projects and other tasks as assigned
- Maintains open communication with accounting team and property managers
Qualifications/Experience
- Experience in Property Management is advantageous if experience in Retail or Industrial
- In addition, the candidate should have excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills
- Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Accountant qualifications aren’t essential however an understanding of Property Management/Retail Assets is essential.
