SalaryOne of the country’s leading Accountancy Firms are looking for an outstanding Proposals Manager to manage the firm's proposals process.
The successful applicant will work across the firm, but will have a particular focus on the audit practice, notably the firm's Financial Services and Business Services divisions. Working closely with the Business Development Director and managing, coaching and mentoring the Proposals team, you will be expected to ensure tender best practice processes are maintained, understood and followed across the firm. Providing information and data to ensure accurate and up to date reporting of the firm’s opportunity pipeline, you will be responsible for improving the quality and efficiency of the firm's proposal processes and will be expected to make recommendations to enhance the quality of pitch presentations and the look and feel of proposal documents, ensuring that all tender documents are tailored to the opportunity and accurately reflect a detailed understanding of the business and its needs. The role holder will be tasked with creating and maintaining templates from which to create proposal collateral, ensuring that all proposal collateral upholds the firm's brand identity, and will manage third party designers supporting the tender process. The Proposals Manager will facilitate go/no go meetings, conduct research to support specific tenders and manage the pitch rehearsal process, actively participating in rehearsals and coaching team members. The proposals feedback process will also be a key area of focus as it will be your responsibility to ensure the firm receives quality feedback and that the information obtained is shared internally to facilitate continuous improvement.
To prosper in this excellent position you will need to be an experienced bids specialist with outstanding internal coaching abilities. You will come from another accountancy, professional services or law firm and have experience of managing and coaching staff. The ideal candidate will be proactive and well-organised with meticulous attention to detail, and will be skilled at building trust with Partners and senior staff. Strong writing and editorial skills combined with the ability to translate technical issues into accessible language will be essential. The Proposals Manager will also enjoy working under pressure to deliver multiple projects simultaneously.
