Job Description:
We are looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to help a local client on a temporary basis in Wellingborough. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing invoices and payments, reconciling accounts, and ensuring that all financial records are accurate and up-to-date. The role is office based.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process purchase invoices and credit notes
- Reconcile supplier statements
- Ensure that all invoices are authorized and coded correctly
- Process payments via BACS and cheques
- Deal with supplier queries
- Maintain accurate financial records
- Use Sage accounting software
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Ability to process 30+ invoices per hour
- Proficient in the use of Sage accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
