Astute looking for an experienced and dynamic Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a fast-paced accounts function who will become an integral part of the Purchase Ledger team based in Loughborough.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Process purchase invoices accurately and efficiently, matching them to purchase orders and delivery notes
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve queries and ensure timely payment of invoices
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of invoices, payments, and supplier accounts
- Assist with month-end and year-end procedures, including accruals and prepayments
- Provide support to the finance team and undertake ad-hoc tasks as required

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar Purchase Ledger role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn
