Purchase Ledger Clerk

Recruiting for a full time permanent, office based Accounts Assistant (accounts payable) for our client based in the Wynard area, Stockon on Tees. Working for an exciting international business.
Key Responsibilities:

• Processing Invoices: Efficiently handle the processing of invoices to ensure timely and accurate payments.
• Payment Run: Play a pivotal role in organizing and executing payment runs, ensuring financial transactions are seamless.
• Supplier Queries: Address and resolve supplier queries promptly, maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders.
• Statement Reconciliations: Conduct regular reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
• Set Up New Suppliers: Take charge of setting up new suppliers, ensuring a streamlined onboarding process.
• Manage Finance Inboxes: Effectively manage and respond to inquiries in finance inboxes, maintaining clear communication.
• Verifying Bank Details: Verify and validate bank details to safeguard financial transactions.
• Credit Card/Expense Processing: Handle credit card and expense processing efficiently and accurately.
• Bank Reconciliations: Conduct thorough bank reconciliations to ensure financial records align with bank statements.
• Adhoc Payments: Manage adhoc payments, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
• Adhoc Admin Duties: Undertake various administrative tasks as required to support the finance team.

Desired Skills and Qualities:
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
Approachable and friendly team player with strong interpersonal skills.
Commitment to honesty and integrity.
Proficient in Excel or an eagerness to learn.
Enthusiastic user of IT, open to change as we embark on an ERP upgrade.
Ability to work independently, using own initiative to tackle challenges.
Additional Information:

Salary range £21-30k - will depend on level of accounts payable experience.
