Job description

Purchase Ledger Clerk, Salary: £25k Based: Stockton-on-Tees with flexibility around hybrid working. *Working on a 6-month fixed term contract

We have an opportunity for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a dynamic and market leading business in the construction hire sector on a fixed term contract. We are keen to hear from candidates with experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk, Accounts Assistant, Bookkeeper or similar.

The role:

The Purchase Ledger Clerk role is to work closely with the Purchase Ledger team, which will involve the processing of invoicing, expectation handling / dealing with queries, invoice coding and submitting approvals, ensuring vendors are paid promptly and accurately. Banking, reconciliation, and administrative duties.

Experience and Personal Characteristics:

  • Previous accounts experience in a similar role E.g. Purchase Ledger Clerk, Accounts Assistant, Bookkeeper, with the ability to handle large amounts of data is essential.
  • Comfortable working in a busy, high-volume environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Computer literate with a strong knowledge of Excel. Confident in data analyse/look ups and Pivots.
  • A pro-active and positive attitude with good attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
