JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Purchasing Assistant
Reporting To: Group Supply Chain Manager
MAIN JOB PURPOSE
To assist in the day to day Supply Chain admin across both IFPL and Cobalt Aerospace, providing support to the wider Supply Chain team in the daily operations of raising and managing orders from placement through to delivery.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
Expediting: Chase up and progress outstanding and unconfirmed Purchase Orders and keep the system and wider team updated with any changes. Supporting the schedulers on any date improvements as requested.
System Management/ Admin: Ensuring information on the system is kept updated, including price defaults, stock holding, supplier details, delivery dates and liaising with the buyers as necessary on other general purchasing admin tasks.
Reporting: Update weekly purchasing reports and distribute to Supply Chain.
Purchase Orders: To raise Purchase Orders as requested by the Supply chain team and wider business including management of consumable items across both sites.
Meetings: Support supplier meetings as required (on and offsite) including writing meeting notes, maintaining meeting diary, and typing up key points of important meetings if required.
Reporting: Update weekly purchasing reports and distribute to Supply Chain.
