Our client is looking for a Purchasing Associate to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role holder's job purpose will be to support the Buyer in identifying, procuring and managing the supply of material in line with customer & production requirements, with their key responsibilities and accountabilities including:
- Negotiating with supply base to obtain best pricing for new and existing business
- Creating and placing of purchase orders to MRP suggestions/Customer demand and managing order book to accommodate changes in demand.
- Ensuring "On time" delivery from the supply base
- To monitor and control stock levels for their specific customers and to highlight any slow moving / obsolete material for commercial recovery
- Supporting the Buyer / Senior Buyer on any projects.
