Our clients is a supplier of Food Commodities into the UK Marketplace. Currently looking to recruit the brand new role of Purchasing Manager.
The Role
- Mentor, develop and manage the purchasing team.
- Improve and develop existing supplier relations.
- Grow potential supplier database.
- Develop margin opportunities, through improved negotiation with existing suppliers, and introduction of new suppliers.
- Liaise with Head of Sales and Company Directors, to develop and increase the product portfolio.
- Accurately process, authorise and maintain, associated purchase orders and import procedures.
- Accurately maintain all company records and CRM systems associated to the purchasing department.
The Candidate
- Experience managing a small team
- Experience as a Purchasing Manager within the Commodities marketplace - ideally Food / FMCG
- Ability to develop a small team
- Experience managing a large range of Customers and Suppliers
- Ideally some Import experience
- ComputerskillsandknowledgeofOutlook,Word,Excel
- Goodcommunicationskills,bothoralandwritten
- Highlevelsofself-motivationdemonstratinga'cando’proactive,flexibleandpositive attitude
