A well established and successful consumer-focused SME business based in the Wolverhampton region. They are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Manager to manage and develop the purchasing team. The role will work on a hybrid basis with flexibility to work from home two days per week.
Your new role
The Purchasing Manager will lead and develop a small team focused on the procurement of finished goods and managing stock optimisation. The role will work in partnership with the commercial team and warehouse manager to analyse sales data and market trend information, to maximise sales potential and minimise stock shortages. The Purchasing Manager will also manage relationships with international suppliers and planned container programmes. The role will produce management information reports and present to the Senior Leadership team. The role will also drive purchasing-based projects and be focused on continuous improvement.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced Purchasing Manager or Senior Buyer with previous experience of managing the procurement of finished goods for resale. You will be highly analytical with strong Excel and procurement-based system experience. You will have people management experience and be an effective communicator.
