Job summary
- Provide continued assurance to the HoE that the Whole Force across RAF Valley is following effective Quality Systems and processes.
- Act as the SME on Quality for all personnel on station.
- Co-ordinate the drafting, review and issue of the Unit Quality Manual. This includes supporting the drafting of Sqn-level UQM Part 2 Quality Plans, including the capture of key output processes, objectives and performance measurement activities.
- Act as the main point of contact for hosting the Command External Quality Audit Team (CEQAT) during 2nd party Audits of the unit. Develop the draft itinerary for the audit with CEQAT and coordinate all associated interviews and points of contact.
- Generate, maintain and implement the Unit IQA programme in accordance with AP100c-10. Ensuring that the programme targets Foundation topics and section processes and output that could potentially pose higher risk more frequently.
- Ensure Continual Improvement (CI) of the QMS.
- Conduct trends and analysis on IQA findings and QOR’s to inform the QSO/ Lead QSM of emerging or common failures to enable prioritisation of corrective action and ongoing risk- basing of the Audit programme.
- Assist line management in the investigation of Quality failures and work activities when requested.
- Manage the registration, control, issue and progression of the Unit Quality Occurrence Reports. Managing and approving the extensions of QOR’s on behalf of the QSO.
- Ensure that there are sufficiently trained and competent personnel to support the QMS by managing course applications for Quality Courses and direct personnel to online Quality training. Confirming audit qualifications and verifying auditor competence.

- Provide support to the CI Manager with all aspects of CI taskings and organisational learning as per their TOR.
- Carry out CI events, rallies, training and briefings iaw the procedures laid down in the Station Quality and CI Manual to ensure compliance.
- Deputise in the absence of the CI Manager covering the role as per their TOR.

The post does not offer relocation expenses.
