QUALITY ENGINEER
Co‐ordinate all activities required to direct and control manufacturing quality.
To review product quality requirements for individual clients and projects, ensure those requirements are understood and implemented to manage the quality of manufactured items to meet the requirements of the customer specifications.
To facilitate the productionisation of newly developed products from R&D including production of assembly manuals and O&Ms. To action requests coming via design change requests. Produce quality assembly drawings and instructions for existing products to allow for better transfer of knowledge in the factory.
Responsibilities.
* Lead the design and maintenance of the quality management system (QMS) to ISO 9001 and ensure the proper implementation of all procedures.
* Take ownership and accountability, while driving continuous improvement of the quality programme and culture.
* Manage all aspects of daily quality inspection.
* Ensure all customer concerns are dealt with efficiently.
* Review new standards and procedures to ensure quality compliance.
* Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff.
* Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures.
* Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.
* Lead / Internal auditing on the organization's procedures.
Candidate requirements
Essential
* ISO 9001 Experience (Lead Auditor preferred)
* Proven experience as a Quality Engineer in an Engineering environment.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Positive, friendly and driven attitude
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact and motivate people.
* Previous experience or knowledge of welding.
* Proficient in Solidworks, preferably with sheet metal experience.
* Excellent critical thinking skills
* Experience in production of professional engineering documentation
Desirable
* Excellent people management skills, empowering those around them.
* Good time management skills with the ability to work on own initiative but understand level of responsibility within the team.
Qualifications
Essential
* Internal Auditing Experience
* ECDL (European Computer Driving License) or equivalent level of IT skills.
* Educated to GCE/GCSE (A- C grades, which must include Maths and English) or equivalent.
Desirable
* Degree in Quality Management
* Ability to measure/record/cross reference manufactured units.
