AddressWell established and growing electronics manufacturing client now looking to add an experienced Quality Engineer with either Electronics /SMT / PCB expertise to their engineering team.
Role will be responsible for the following.
Lead 8D problem solving for internal and external complaints or issues.
Developing quality control systems and determining corrective actions.
Carry out quality audits in line with internal procedures and ISO9001:2015 requirements.
Lead investigation and closure of RMAs.
Liaise with suppliers to address supply chain quality issues and drive to closure using formal SCAR process.
Monitor and analyze Quality performance, updating KPIs as required.
Ensuring non-conforming components/products are managed effectively with MRB process to prevent escapes.
Liaising across functions to address quality issues.
Support risk(PFMEA) documentation review activities and ensure that all failure modes in process have been identified and addressed.
Support the maintenance and improvement of the QMS.
Develop work instructions and processes for the quality department and all supporting functions.
Support the NPI process and APQP, aiding their implementation and improvement.
Lead continuous improvements, projects that have been identified by site KPIs.
Analyse quality data to drive improvement activities.
Qualifications / Skills Core:
Qualified to HNC Level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline OR time-served experience in previous roles.
Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge ofISO9001:2015.
Competent in standard quality processes, i.e. Control Plans, PFMEA, RCA.
Experience with Quality Management Systems, documents, and procedures.
Experience in leading8D problem solving activities.
Ability to identify and lead continuous improvement activities.
Strong facilitator.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications / Skills Desirable:
ISO9001:2015InternalAuditor.
Knowledge / Experience ofISO14001:2015.
APQP and/or NPI experience.
Electronic manufacturing experience.
