Our client is a leading player in the food and drink industry, renowned for their commitment to quality, innovation and ensuring their products meet the highest standards. They are seeking a Quality Manager that is motivated by technical excellence and leading a team to make a significant impact in a dynamic environment.
As Quality Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance are met across the factory. You will report directly into the Technical Manager assisting with the management of all technical activities across the site. This include maintaining adherence to all accreditation standards, managing the QMS system and leading internal and external audits.
Key Responsibilities:
* Directly oversee the quality team, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest standards are met.
* Lead efforts for continuous improvement throughout the technical function, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing effective solutions.
* Work closely with customers to understand their needs, address concerns, and maintain strong relationships.
* Ensure the Quality Management System (QMS) is regularly updated and in compliance with industry standards.
* Keep policies up to date, particularly regarding non-conformances, HACCP, and supplier approval processes.
* Utilize previous experience working directly with retailers to meet their specific requirements.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in managing and leading a team, demonstrating strong leadership skills.
* Previous experience in a similar role within a quality management capacity.
* Ability to work effectively with customers and stakeholders, maintaining positive relationships.
* While experience with chilled products is desirable, it's not essential. However, proven experience managing and leading a team is a must.
* Familiarity with quality management systems and industry standards.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 (Dependent on experience)
