Support Care Providers to Improve Services

A Local Authority in the West Midlands is looking to appoint a Quality of Placements Officer which will work as a link between the Local Authorities Placement service and those providers of Care that have been commissioned. The role will focus on working with Care Providers to ensure that they are providing a service that i in line with the Local Authorities expectations whilst also ensuring Care Plans are followed.

Here is an overview of the post:

1. You will be responsible to provide technical knowledge and expertise in relation to the regulatory framework and National Minimum Standards.
2. You will be required to hold providers to account for service quality, monitoring provider quality and performance and taking the lead in addressing any concerns raised regarding a service provider.
3. Work will require collecting, analysing and understanding data trends, to identify areas of improvement and implement them accordingly.
4. You will be required to develop an effective process to encourage earlier, and more proactive conversations between Providers and Staffordshire's placement service about any potential issues or risks that threaten the ongoing stability of a placement.

This is an exciting post that will see you work with the Local Authority and Care Providers to help ensure Children in Care are offered the best possible support to achieve their potential. The post will require you to work with care providers to audit them and provide feedback as to how they are able to improve their services (if required). As well as feeding back to the Local Authority you will be encouraged to work directly with the different providers and implement change if necessary

To be considered for this post you should have experience of working in the Residential space, specifically with children and young people
