Job Title - Real Estate Analyst (Data & Analytics)

Role Purpose

Data and Insight is a big focus and key strategic priority for CBRE. There is now a framework in place for CBRE to unlock the opportunity of the significant volumes of data held and to embed data driven insight into daily interactions with clients. Within the Living Analytics team, we have proven the concept of the value of data with the creation of a digital platform and the production of data driven reports to support client needs. We want to continue growing this area of the business.
This post, reporting to Kirsten Dyer, Director of Living Analytics, will specifically involve taking responsibility for the Living insight needs from clients both internal and external.

Key Responsibilities

  • The role will be pivotal to delivering the team’s thought leadership programme of content for the Living sector in the UK. This may include blogs, data-led client presentations and contributions to published research.
  • Producing Demand Reports for all the asset types within the Living sector. These are fee-paying mandates prepared for clients in connection with planning and funding.
  • Supporting in the production of relevant materials for client presentations and market reports.
  • Presenting at internal and external presentations, representing CBRE in the sector when needed.
  • Researching and dealing with client requests for market data.
  • Contributing to maintaining key datasets for the Living sectors in the UK, including details of investment deals, investment volumes and yields, and development pipeline of major schemes.

Person Specification/Requirements
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in property market research or other research / analysis environment.
  • Degree in Real Estate, geography, economics, social sciences or related subject.
  • Good numeracy and writing skills, with the ability to lead conversations presenting data, information, methodologies and results effectively both orally and written.
  • Proficiency in data collection, manipulation and analysis, drawing relevant and robust insight.
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Flexibility and the ability to manage own workload to deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, demonstrating a professional and client-focused approach to work.
  • Pro-active and enjoys working autonomously and as part of a wider team.
  • Excellent IT skills, Excel, Powerpoint, Word etc. Experience with data visualisation software (Tableau) would be an advantage, but not essential.
