This is a part-time office-based role. Your working hours 22 hours Monday-Thursday at the following times listed below:
The role of a receptionist is to be an ambassador for the McCann values and beliefs. We provide a highly professional front-of-house ‘meet and greet’ service for all our clients and visitors. We want our guests to feel special, warmly welcomed and well looked after every time they enter our building. The role includes the running of reception, admin support as well as other general duties.
Areas of accountability
- Operate the switchboard answering calls in a polite and efficient manner ensuring calls are directed to correct locations
- Manage the booking systems for meeting rooms and negotiate changes as required
- Receive all deliveries ensuring they are delivered to the correct recipient
- Ensure the signing-in procedure is adhered to and all visitors receive a visitors’ pass
- Liaise with staff to arrange taxis for clients and visitors
- Book conference call lines and negotiate changes as required
- Liaise with Facilities Management on any Health and Safety concerns
- In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder is required to perform other duties as assigned by their Manager from time to time.

- Recent switchboard experience
- Excellent organisation skills and able to multitask
- Impeccable personal presentation
- Ability to remain calm when working under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills and telephone manner
- Ability to deal with Clients and colleagues at all levels
- Open and friendly personality
- Ability to act with tact and diplomacy when necessary
- Understands the importance of first impressions (attitude, body language, etc.)
- A people person and able to retain detailed knowledge of all staff and regular visitors (discipline, position, location, extensions of McCann employees, plus names, companies and positions of McCann clients and suppliers)
