Your primary duty will be to support the company and Funeral Director. You will uphold the company’s reputation by acting in a professional manner to customers and by keeping the branch in a presentable manner.
Working Hours: 9.00 am – 5.00 pm, 3 days per week (flexible) – half an hour lunch (unpaid)
Pay: £11.44 per hour
Pro-rata 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays with additional days for long service (up to 26 days pro-rata plus bank holidays) and 5% pension contribution.
Your role:
• You will handle telephone calls for the company transferring calls through to the required staff member and will take messages when it is not possible to transfer the calls.
• You will take ‘first call’ details for new funerals ensuring the details are passed on to a Funeral Director.
• You will monitor the reception email address forwarding emails to the correct members of staff.
• You will greet clients who enter the premises and will handle their enquiries.
• You will ensure the branch is well maintained and is cleaned weekly.
• You will show clients in to the chapel of rest to see their loved ones.
• You will take payments through the virtual terminal payment system.
• You will record any incoming items to the premises including clothing and jewellery.
• You will record the collection of ashes from the premises.
• You will be asked to complete general administrative tasks such as filing and logging post.
• You will process/produce masonry reports.
• You will have good IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
