SalaryChelmer Village Surgery is expanding our reception/administrative team and we are looking to recruit an experienced part-time receptionist to join us, to provide a high standard of patient service and support our clinical team. The role is offered on a part-time, temporary basis, initially, with the potential for the position to become permanent. The contracted hours and working pattern are to be agreed and confirmed in discussion with the candidate.
The main responsibilities of the role will include:
- Greeting and directing all patients;
- Making appointments and giving out appointment cards, where required;
- Accepting, issuing and handing out prescriptions, letters, completed forms, specimen bottles, etc.;
- Dealing with requests for information, and managing problems and complaints;
- Advising patients of practice procedures;
- Registering new patients;
- Answering the telephone, promptly.
