Fig Tree Primary wish to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking and adaptable administrator to join our supportive school team. There will be a number of admin tasks that need to be completed each day which include: registers, attendance, dinner numbers, emails, letters and the general organisation in a primary school office. As well as being the first point of contact for parents, visitors and members of staff.
You are required to:
- Be able to evidence that you have equivalent knowledge and experience;
- Be numerate and literate;
- Have recent experience of carrying out a range of administrative procedures within a school office environment;
- Be able to operate efficiently and effectively with minimum supervision in order to provide an outstanding level of service to staff, parents and visitors.

- Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer and direct phone calls to the appropriate department or individual
- Provide general administrative and clerical support
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail and packages
- Schedule appointments and manage calendars
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently
- Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks
- Coordinate office supplies and inventory management
- Assist with organizing meetings and events

- Previous experience as a receptionist or in a similar administrative role is preferred
- Proficiency in computerized systems, including data entry and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite)
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or other accounting software is a plus
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
