The East Sussex County Council Recruitment Team are looking for a Recruitment Assistant to join us on a Fixed Term basis until the end of March 2025. This is a great opportunity for an introduction to working in recruitment and HR and can provide an invaluable foundation for anyone looking to launch a career in these areas of work. A full induction and training programme will be provided so no prior knowledge or experience of recruitment is required.
We are a busy team responsible for assisting candidates and supporting hiring managers right across the Council to make more than 1000 appointments every year to a diverse variety of roles ranging from apprentices to our most senior management positions.

We are looking for candidates who:
- Are proactive and confident communicators who are able to speak to managers and candidates
- Enjoy the challenge of working at pace to meet deadlines whilst retaining a keen eye for detail
- Can manage multiple priorities effectively and efficiently
- Can manage a large case load of appointed candidates to meet deadlines

The post is based in Lewes, East Sussex and we will require that you work from the office for a minimum of three days per week.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
