Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager to join our Design & Engineering Business Unit (BU) at our office in Godalming, Surrey. As the South East Regional Manager, you will hold responsibility for the management and performance of the SE operations, working with the wider D&E leadership team, the wider BU, other Scitech BUs and the Company leadership team to deliver the BU performance, growth targets and budget for the region.
It is expected that you will have a significant input on projects yourself as either a Designer, Engineer, or Project Manager and you will play a key role in managing and driving the performance of the regional projects - ensuring quality outcomes are delivered on time and within budget working together with the Design & Engineering Manager, and Design & Engineering Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the regional operations of the Design & Engineering BU, including oversight of resources and project delivery.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, customers, and key stakeholders to drive business growth and expand the region's market.
• Provide effective leadership to operational teams and support functions, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
• Monitor project performance against metrics and key performance indicators, implementing corrective actions or resolving issues as necessary.
• Hands-on management of projects (including procurement, on-site operations, and co-ordination) as well as resolving issues on other regional projects.
• Engage as a key member of the UK Design & Engineering Leadership Team to work and support cross-office interactions and collaboration.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or design or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• A Project Management, Design or Procurement background with a track record of delivering concurrent multidisciplinary design and engineering projects.
• Strong business management and development experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams and drive results.
• Excellent relationship-building abilities, with a track record of successfully managing client and stakeholder relationships.
• Knowledge of prevailing laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to engineering and construction projects.
