Proline Care Recruitment Limited is working with a client in Stoke-on-Trent to appoint an experienced Registered Children's Home Manager.
Children's Home Manager vacancy details:
- Children's Home manager Salary = £40,000-£70,000
- Contract Type = Permanent.
- Job Type = Full time.
Main Functions of the Job
- To provide leadership to the staff team at the Home.
- To assist in the improvement and maintenance of standards within the Home.
- To develop and maintain good working relationships with parents, social workers, schools and other professionals concerned with the welfare of the young people.
- To oversee and participate in the development, implementation and monitoring of the individual young people’s care plans.
- To ensure that the home provides an environment that is safe and sensitive to the needs of young people being looked after.
- To maintain a good understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedure
- To maintain good communication systems, including handovers, staff meetings, log books and regular meetings with the Heads/Directors or their representatives
- To recruit, select and train employees, in numbers agreed with the Registered Provider, and at a cost that is agreed with the Provider.
- To conduct supervisions, observations and appraisal of staff.
Experience:
· At least 3 year's experience in Children's Home Management
· Proven leadership skills, with the ability to effectively supervise a team.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· Hold a level 5 diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent.
