Medivet Loughborough is situated in a beautiful spacious building and offers a friendly and supportive environment led by Branch Partner Rachael. You will be supported in your role by our Head RVN and work with our dedicated Client Care Assistant. The practice is located just off the A6 on Forest Road and is easily assessible to both the M1 and East Midlands Airport.
Salary & benefits
Salary £30,000 per year
CPD allowance £750 with 2-days CPD leave and in-house CPD available
RCVS, BVNA and VDS fees paid
5 weeks paid annual leave plus bank holidays
Enhanced Maternity and Paternity Leave
Additional paid leave for exceptional attendance
‘Peternity’ leave
This is a full time permanent position, covering 40 hours per week. You will also be part of a weekend rota covering 1:6 weekends, fair share of bank holidays and on-call rota at Medivet 24 hour Birstall, Leicestershire.

Role accountabilities
• Assisting Veterinary Surgeons with their medical/surgical duties
• Monitoring of anaesthesia
• Nursing/discharge of in-patients, prioritising patient welfare and care
• Running in house lab samples and organising repeat prescriptions
• Nurse consultations- internal training provided!
• Ensuring compliance and that policies and procedures are adhered to
Your skills and experience:
• Registered with the RCVS
• Ability to keep on top of practice protocols and procedures
• Excellent organisational skills
• Strong communicator with both colleagues and clients
• Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
• Ability to use your judgement and make decisions
• Clinical coaching experience would be an advantage
