In this role you will be the bridge between HSBC's 1st and 2nd lines of defence from a Global Finance perspective and will act as an SME for all Regulatory Reporting matters. The role is also to focus on internal assurance activities through various analyses, investigations, and coordination between regional business lines and teams. If successful, you will gain fantastic exposure to senior management within the 2nd line of defence through identifying opportunities for and making procedural improvement recommendations based on your findings.

In this role you will:
• Engage and support discussions with 2LOD, as well as 3LOD on BAU process, findings and resolution
• Support targeted reviews – (e.g. review of returns, testing of calculation compliance), including interpretation of key policies and understanding of operational implementation.
• Assessment of operational considerations and impact assessment of strategic transactions and working with a number of teams including M&A, Group Reg Policy, Accounting Policy, Regional and Business teams
• Manage Group Audit Committee and Other Regulatory papers
• Produce MI and reports to support governance and updates for senior management
