Due to growth we are seeking a highly accomplished Business Development Lead who thrives in a complex market and is seeking a new challenge.
We work for many big name marketing communications agencies helping them secure meetings with prospective clients. The role of Business Development Lead is to work with clients to establish their pitch and target market and then to arrange initial meetings for them. This is hard work and can involve detective work and getting through several gatekeepers before being able to make a convincing pitch to high level decision makers. A typical day would involve making around 60-80 calls.
Our staff are all highly experienced and come from a marketing and sales background. We expect them to work independently and manage their own workload. This is not the job for you if you need a sales manager to keep you on your toes.
We offer a substantial basic salary, which when coupled with our bonus scheme, provides the quality of people we are looking for the opportunity to earn £48k per year or more.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Managing your clients, delivering a steady stream of new business meetings
+ Ensuring that all clients’ objectives are reached on a monthly basis
+ Helping your clients win as much new business as they possibly can
+ Day to day responsibility for account management for all your clients providing an exceptional level of support and tactical and strategic advice and guidance
What we are looking for:
+ Minimum 2 years B2B appointment setting experience
+ Minimum 1 year experience of working in an advertising, PR, digital or other type of marketing communications agency in any capacity
+ Minimum 100mbps internet connection
+ A desktop PC or better still iMac
+ A dedicated room to work from with a desk and appropriate chair
You may have worked in the following capacities:
New Business Manager, Marketing Agency Sales, Business Development Manager, Internal Sales, Media Sales, Sales Development, SDR, Business Development Exec.
