Central London Contract type: Fixed-term (12 months) Full time Closing date: 23:59, Sunday 28 January Interview dates: Thursday 1 or Friday 2 February Are you keen to make an impact on health and social care by undertaking high quality policy analysis and research? Do you have good Excel or other statistical skills with the ability to produce persuasive charts and tables, and are knowledgeable in a range of other research methods (such as interviews, surveys, and literature reviews)? Are you keen to develop new quantitative and policy analysis skills, particularly through the use of statistical packages? The Nuffield Trust is an independent health think tank. We aim to improve the quality of health care and health policy in the UK by providing evidence-based research and policy analysis and informing and generating debate. We are looking for an independent and creative person who is keen to develop their skills and career in health and social care policy. You will undertake analysis on research projects relating to health and social care services and ensure timely and high-quality delivery under the supervision of project leads. You should have an interest in health and social care policy, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will be undertaking mixed-methods research using a range of approaches, including analysis of qualitative and quantitative data, contributing to the interpretation of results and design of studies, and identifying practical policy recommendations. We’d really like to meet you if you have: A bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area. Experience of synthesizing findings from a variety of sources, with an ability to identify and apply appropriate evidence to support an argument. The ability to communicate complex issues for a variety of audiences. A willingness to learn new methods and skills in research analysis and a commitment to development.
